Would the door handles from a VW Polo mk4 (1995 to 1997), fit a VW Golf mk3 (1993)?
Basically, I can source some cheap handles for a mk4 polo, and was wondering if they'd fit my mk3 golf? I've Googled it and read conflicting opinions, so has anybody done this, or know it can be done?
If the handles don't fit would the locking barrels them self be interchangeable?

Call a salvage yard, because they have the database to look it up on. Or you could take yours in and match them. Some yards charge a small fee to look around, but it is well worth it.
And in general I have found hood handles to be the same, with tumbler cylinders never changing. But I have never worked on a Polo.
