Tennis is one of the most entertaining games. Whether you are an ardent tennis lover and want to be the next tennis champion or a beginner, selecting the right tennis equipments can be a great investment. It can prove to be advantageous for your game.
There are a number of things that you may need to purchase for your tennis tournament or practice. Racquet is one of the essential tennis equipments that need to be bought. Choosing the right racquet is very essential. If you want to become a successful tennis champ, you need to buy the correct racquet. There are some useful tips for the people who want to take this sport seriously. You can apply these tips to select the right tennis racquet.
1. Racquet grip size is one of the most important issues that you need to consider while selecting a tennis racquet. Adult grip size may range from 4 to 5/8ths. This measurement is specified for matching the point equal to the trip height to the size of the handle from the middle crease of your palm. You need to slide the index finger of one hand in between the base of your palm and the tips of your fingers. The thumb should hold the racquet. Before buying any tennis racquet check whether there is enough space for your index finger to grip the racquet. It is better to select the racquet grip that is small. If you need, you can enhance the circumference by attaching an overgrip tape (a soft, clothlike, padded tape).
2. You also need to check the head size before you buy any tennis racquet. Depending on your playing standard the racquet head size should be chosen. Oversize racquets have area of between 130 and 105 square inches. It is better for a beginner to select the racquet with bigger head as it allows more spin thus providing greater power to be transferred to a hit. Accomplished and famous players use mid-sized to traditional racquets. The surface area of these rackets is between 105 and 85 square inches. The smaller racquet head size offers more stability and manoeuvrability.
3. While choosing a racquet you need to check whether it is made from good material or not. Most of the racquets are created from graphite. It is light weight but also provides control as well as good power, making them perfect for the beginners. Other racquets appropriate for beginners are created from titanium or light-weight aluminium. Kevlar or Boron racquets are the lightest. But they are stiff. Advanced players mainly use this type of racquet. Fibreglass and wood racquets can also be used. But it is not possible to play your best shot with these racquets.

Advantages of a Graphite Racquet
Tennis racquets have complicated rather a lot over the last many decades. These days, a graphite racquet is commonly preferred for several different reasons, and you can see that there are plenty of advantages to choosing one. A graphite racquet can enhance your sport and in the long run save your money.
One of the most significant reasons why the graphite racquet became so well-liked was because the weightless material so can be very stiff and sturdy. This made a best alternative to heavier elements that would weigh racquets down, or light materials which would be too fragile.
Since the introduction of the graphite racquet, the normal weight of full size racquets has fallen seriously, to 10 or 11 oz. In the beginning, debuts of the graphite racquet were upwards of 12 or 13 oz., which was still significantly lighter than anything else while remaining powerful and robust.
Additionally, as time has gone on, more lightweight materials are being attempted out together with graphite to attempt to continually develop on racquet weight and rigidity. Even as latest materials are attempted, ranging from Kevlar to titanium and more, graphite remains a fixture.
An additional best advantage to owning a graphite racquet is that it is going to face up to the test of time. You can own the same racquet for years and still be in a position to squeeze some best playing out of it. This can save you a lot of money and will truly allow you to make the best of your racquet.
Knowing this, you can invest in a top quality graphite racquet upfront, as you will not have to be afraid of that it will not last very long. It's something that you are going to be able to enjoy well into the predictable future.
It's also necessary to remember that the graphite racquet you could be thinking about buying isn't made from traditional graphite in the way we would think of it. For a tennis racquet, it actually refers to varied carbon fibers that have been bonded together.
When you're searching for a quality racquet, you should think about a graphite racquet. They are light-weight and stiff, offering a best mix for a player of any skills. Additionally, a graphite racquet is going to last you for a particularly long time. This will allow you to save money, and pick a best racquet from the start understanding that you will not need to replace it soonish.

Really old tennis racquet- what do i do?
I decided to try out for tennis this year (i've never played before). i found my dad's old tennis raquets-- he has like 5 of them. but they're really old like almost 10 years old. i practiced with them today and they're okay but is it okay to use a raquet that old?
i liked two of them- wilson graphite aggressor and wilson dimensions.
i also bought a cheap one at target- a pink prince sharapova... but i kinda feel like i should return it and just use the old raquets for tryouts and if i make it i can buy an expensive one.
what should i do?
Two of them are Wilson dimensions and one is Wilson graphite aggressor. The other ones I don't want to use cause theyre too heavy for me...
My advice is not to spend too much money on tennis racquet yet until you get better at it. If you never play before then it will take you at least a year or two before you become good. So it is ok to play with the old racquets for now.
Gag Writer Serious About Healthier Tennis
“Why two handles?” I asked Lionel Burt, United States Professional Tennis Assocaiton tennis coach, with a chuckle and a slightly derisive smile, the first time I saw the odd-looking tennis racquet. “For the health of it!” answered the inventor. But I didn’t quite get it. Burt reminded me that a standard handled racquet is usually played w...
