Buying a parrot is a really big commitment, because of how long they live, and because of how much looking after they require. African Grey Parrots are one of the most popular species of parrot, but they definitely aren't the easiest to look after. African Grey Parrots are really beautiful looking birds, and they have the added benefit of being one of the easiest parrot species to train, and to look after. They originally come from Central Africa, and they are well known for being extremely intelligent, and for being very quick learners - especially when it comes to talking.
They grow to be anywhere between 10 and 14 inches tall, so they are only a medium sized parrot. There are two types of African Grey for you to choose from - the Timneh African Grey, and the Congo African Grey. The Timneh is charcoal grey with a maroon tail, whereas the Congo is light grey with a red tail. In both of these types of grey parrot, it isn't easy to distinguish the male from the female, because the colour and markings are identical. The only hope you have of spotting a difference, is if a male and female are stood side-by-side, because the male is typically larger!
African Grey Parrots live for up to sixty years, so you need to carefully consider this before buying one - it could very easily outlive you! Another thing to carefully consider is that their high level of intelligence means that boredom can become a major problem if they don't live in a stimulating environment, which involves lots of human contact. If you aren't prepared to provide this kind of environment, you should not buy an African Grey, because boredom quickly can very quickly turn into all kinds of behavioral problems, such as biting, and feather-plucking. On the other hand, if you are happy to meet the demands of looking after an African Gray, you couldn't pick a better parrot (in my opinion)!
African Greys live in flocks in the wild, so they are extremely sociable birds. This means that they have a need to belong to a flock, and your family can definitely fulfill this need! Having said that, they don't particularly like being handled a great deal, so they aren't the parrot for you if you want lots of hands on time with your pet. With training, they will perch on your hand, but it doesn't come naturally to them, and it will require quite a bit of patience on your part.
In conclusion, an African Grey is the right parrot for you if:
- You like a bird with a big personality, and human-like qualities.
- You are willing to invest a lot of effort into keeping them stimulated.

To reach the next level of play in any sport takes more than just practice.
In hockey, there are many skills to master in order to impact the game. Skating is the single most important aspect, but forearm stability and strength on the stick are very important as well. In every game there is a battle between one, two or three skaters on the puck. The ability to exert power and strength over your opponent becomes increasingly more important the higher the level of play. A player needs to possess very strong forearm strength and stability while maintaining a balance between range of motion, endurance, quickness and speed, all while carrying the puck, protecting the puck, or battling an opponent for the puck. Too many times we see young High School or junior skaters coming out of exercise programs that focus solely on the weight room for power and strength. Unknowingly, they have increased their power at the sacrifice of their "fluidity".
Focused training specific to the puck control, shooting and stick handling skills that employ the stick stability and strength is critical for a player to develop. Quick hands, soft hands, and feathered passing with control of the stick should be the goal of all young skaters to develop. The Quick Released shot, with a short delivery will give the skater a huge advantage in the scoring lanes.
We have found that the GripStik is unique in our developmental programs for what it offers the skater. hi ppls! im kinda stuck here. i have a couple questions & if u can answer any of them ill be happy.
when can u leave the valley to go to town?
how high must a girl's "affection" level be to unlock the blue feather?
how do u get a horse?
1) you can leave the valley anytime. If you are too lazy to go all the way back, just open the menu (y button) and press the z button, when it ask to go home and go to sleep, choose yes. This can be useful when you are lost somewhere at night and can't go back because it's too dark.
2) you must get at least 8 hearts to get the feather and marry her
3) you can buy a foal at the ranch, but first you must have a barn to store it, and you have to feed it everyday until it grows into a horse, you can only ride it after the horse has at least 2 hearts. If you want to enter the race, I suggest you ride the horse at much as possible, the more stars the horse has, the more likely it will win the race. If your horse win the race, you can sell it for a pretty high price.
