It is interesting all the misconceptions in Track and Field, some people classify the 800 meter as a long-distance race? Not so I tell you, not even close. The 800-meter is an absolute high-performance race and it is more like a sprint than the 400 meter in fact. It is most definitely a sprint for two-solid laps. The laps from hell, where you give it all you have and then try to finish up at the end with your muscles burning and your feet on fire.
Indeed on a reslite or tartan track you will feel like your feet are on fire and while racing you will feel the pain shoot up your muscles signaling to your brain; Capitan, Scotty here, we are at maximum warp, I do not think the engines can take much more of this. Basketball Training Aids to Improve Your Game
If constant practice and sheer dedication aren't enough to improve your game, then you might as well consider acquiring some effective basketball training aids.
Shooting
Oversized basketball - is usually 3 inches larger in diameter than your regular basketball. This is designed to improve your accuracy in shooting.
Board-less hoop - is designed to improve your shooting accuracy by making shoots without depending on the board.
Rebounding device - helps you to practice your shooting without rebounding the ball after every shot.
Shooting straps - is attached to your shooting hand to assist you in maintaining the right form while taking a shot, make the right follow through, and improve your one-handed release.
Dribbling
Dribbling aid - is designed to help you use your fingertips in dribbling (and not your palm). It also helps improving your passing and shooting skills.
Basketball goggles - are designed to keep your head up while dribbling your ball. The goggles block your lower vision so that you practice on not looking at the ball.
Speed

6 day football workout for runningback?
Because of some law or soemthing, im not going to get to do anything wiht my team until august, so i want to be in great physical shape then.
Right now, I'm doing a six day workout by myself that looks like this
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - Weigh training (intense all-around upper body). And then i make and drink a protein shake about 30 minutes after (for breakfast, i work out early).
Tuesday, thursday, saturday- Agility exercises with a double ladder i draw out of chalk because i dont want to pay 50$ for the sparq ladder. Ten 100 yard sprints up a hill, followed by five 200 yard sprints up a hill.
Sunday - Break.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make my workout better? I'm considering doing weight training on legs after my sprints, so i can work on speed, and explosiveness. Any suggestions would be very welcome!
Oh, and if you have any weight training techniques that would be helpful, do share.
don't do weight lifting on the days you sprint just do cardio on those days and you should cut out one of the upper body work out and do the legs lifts and maybe even one of the cardio days to try to get two days of upper body workout and two days of lower body work out and what i thought was good workout when i did football was take a box maybe 2-4 feet tall that can hold your weight and stand there and jump on and off of it for like 20 times with 3-4 sets and may be you can do two work outs a day if you want like lifting weights in the morning and running at night
