You've found the perfect queen size bed. The mattress is just right and fully guaranteed. So are the springs. You even secured the perfect frame. You might have the headboard you've always wanted. Now, it's time to add some bedding to that great piece of furniture. That means taking a long look at one of the best options in the bedding world, queen comforter sets. A good comforter set will make your life easier, less expensive and more comfortable.
These sets include everything you will need to set up your bed. Sometimes referred to as "beds in a bag" or "beds in a box", these complete bedding sets usually include a dust ruffle, a top sheet, a fitted sheet, pillow cases, pillow shams and a great comforter to top the whole kit off. You get everything except the ability to sleep in late on a work day!
The comprehensive nature of queen comforter sets creates some very strong reasons to love them. Let us look at three compelling reasons to add a comforter set to your bedroom.
Initially, you are going to fall head over heels in love with the price tags. If you have priced good bedding lately, you already know just how expensive it can be. When you buy everything in one handy bundle, you are often able to get an unbelievable deal. If you separate out the components of queen comforter sets, you may very well discover that you are getting everything you need for somewhere around fifty cents on a dollar. These sets are like using a 50% off coupon to buy your bedding. There is no compelling justification to spend more money and more time to do things on a piece-by-piece basis.
Additionally, queen comforter sets are ideal for those of us who may not have the world's greatest sense of design. Sure, we all like to think of ourselves as design gurus, but most of us do not have the best eyes. Whether you are color blind or just slightly impaired in the aesthetic judgment department, queen comforter sets are ready to rescue you. They are carefully assembled so that the pieces either match or complement one another perfectly. Let the paid professional design experts who work for the manufacturer's do the work for you.
Finally, you will be able to luxuriate in quality bedding. Queen comforter sets are not bargain-basement products (although the prices might make you think they are). Many are available with high thread count sheets and some of the most amazingly comfy and cozy comforters you can find. You will be resting your head on pillows with inviting pillowcases, truly getting the most out of your bed.
Do not waste your time or money trying to assemble your bedding collection. There is an easier solution. Queen bedding sets are a fantastic purchase!

How To Choose A Set Of Sheets For Your Bed
If you've been sleeping on the same ratty sheets for years, it may be time to trade them in for crisp, new sheets. While many people are hesitant to buy new sheets because of the cost of a good sheet set, they really aren't that expensive when you realize that you will be using them 365 times each year. Besides, clean, comfortable sheets don't just look great; they actually can help you sleep better.
When you are choosing a set of sheets for your bed, the first thing you should do is take a look at your mattress. If you have a standard mattress, you won't have any problem finding sheets that fit. However, if you have an extra long twin mattress or a very thick full, queen, or king size mattress (such as a pillow top), you will need to look for sheets made to fit these mattress types.
The next thing you should consider is what type of material you like to sleep on. Standard cotton, flannel, jersey, satin, and silk sheets are all readily available.
About Standard Cotton Sheets:
1. Standard cotton sheets are cool in the summer. They breathe well, which is especially important on hot nights, since this prevents you from feeling sticky and sweaty.
2. Cotton can be quite soft. Look for sheets with a high thread count. A thread count of 180 or 200 means the sheets will feel rough, while 400 count sheets feel as smooth as a baby's skin.
3. If the sheets are pure cotton, they may shrink after several washings.
About Flannel Sheets:
1. Flannel sheets are great for winter use. You don't have to spend an hour warming up your bed before you feel snuggly and warm.
2. Flannel sheets are rarely a good choice for warm climates. They do hold heat.
3. Flannel can pill up with extended use, so be prepared to replace your cozy sheets every few years.
About Jersey Sheets:
1. If you enjoy the comfort of a t-shirt, you will love these sheets. They are very comfortable to sleep on.
2. Jersey sheets are lightweight and may not last as long as some other sheet types.
About Satin Sheets:
1. Satin sheets are a favorite for people who want a bit of romance, but that silky smooth finish is a bit slippery. You may need to frequently tuck your top sheet back in.
2. Satin doesn't breathe well and can be quite uncomfortable to sleep in during the warmer months.
About Silk Sheets:
1. Silk is just as romantic as satin. These sheets can also be a bit slippery.
2. Silk is a natural material and breathes well. Silk sheets are comfortable to sleep on year round.
3. Silk is fragile and needs special care to keep it from shattering.
Once you decide on the material you prefer, you are ready to shop for a sheet set. Don't be afraid to experiment with color and pattern. After all, no one has to know that you have sheets with a wild design underneath that sophisticated navy blue bedspread.

How many Towels & Sheet Sets do you own? I REALLY need to know! PLEASE answer!?
OK, long story short... My mother was a "Hoarder" and I think I have inherited the disease...
She passed away years ago and I'm STILL finding things she stored etc.
So now I need to find out what the "Average" number of towels and sheets that 'normal' people have so I can gauge exactly how many of each I should keep.
As I said, I inherited the mind set and I am having a VERY VERY hard time getting rid of things because I keep hearing her voice in my mind going "That is nice... You may need it some day... Why buy a new one later when you can keep 6 EXTRA ones here!?!?"
Please, be honest...
Sheets...
Top Sheets...
Bottom Sheets...
Pillow Cases...
Bath Towels...
Decorative towels...
Table Clothes...
Anything you can think of and can comment on...
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR HELPING ME!
Sorry... It is not my father and myself...
2 beds + 1 blow up bed for visitors
1.5 bath
It is "Now" my father and myself... LOL...
It doesn't hurt to have extra. Give some as house warming gifts or wedding gifts. Just keep what you need. It doesn't hurt to have maybe 3 or 4 sets of each for rotating. My mother-in-law liked extras. I learned from her to buy ahead. It's nice to know that they're there. Roxanne
