Radical Tour Oversize

Although tennis saw a decline from 1970 to 1990, it is starting to make a comeback now in the late 2000's. Over the last few years, some of the most epic grand slam tournament action has taken place. Due to this fact, many people are re-discovering the world of tennis and setting themselves up to play once again.

Although you may have been off of the court for some time now, you will be delighted to know that nothing has really changed with the exception of a few pieces of equipment. Mainly, the most changes that one will find are those of the tennis racquets themselves, although there are still some of the oldies around. Although the racquets have changed, the name brands have not, so rest assured you will find your favorite brand available with some slight modifications to the racquet.

Prince

Prince tennis racquets have been the most trusted name in tennis racquets over the last four decades. Their technological innovations from racquet heads to grips have created a racquet that cannot be beat in over all style and performance. There are many racquets available through the Prince Company, and they still offer their original Prince Graphite Comp although it too has undergone a few changes in style and technology.

The older leather grip has been reformed with a new cushion grip that still features the leather material. This grip allows a power transfer from the fore arm to the racquet head that will propel the ball forward with outstanding power. The racquet head size has moved to the 100 range, slightly smaller than the original. Big hitters on the tour prefer the smaller head for wind resistance as well as a sharper sweet spot. Dollar for dollar, the Prince Graphite Comp is unmatched in old school quality that still plays with new school style.

Head

Second to Prince, the Head tennis racquet company makes many quality sticks for the court. One of the most popular racquets made by the company is the You Tek line that has numerous racquets in the line although they are generally separated by colors and head size. The most popular of this line is the You Tek Radical MidPlus. This racquet features a solid core cushioned grip for the transference of power to the head. The head is slightly smaller than oversize, which gives it silk like flow through the air. Many who use this particular line enjoy the 90 head size, which may take some power off of your serve but will add speed to your swing.

Racquets: Your Choice

If you are one of the many people that are getting back into the game, a great idea is to go to a shop and rent tennis raquets for the day. This is usually fairly cheap and will give you a chance to play with some of the new choices that you will have when hitting the courts. This is a great way to familiarize yourself with new technologies in the sport of tennis.

The Tennis Shop (tennisshop.com.au) is an online website that offers tennis equipment for purchase. The website is dedicated to bringing its customers the latest equipment in racquets, shoes, clothing and accessories needed to be successful on the court.

Tips to Make Your Alaska Float Fishing Outing Successful

When you're planning an Alaska float fishing trip, the focus should be on the planning. Alaska sees over a million tourists every year and that means popular lodges book up fast, charters get reserved and you could get stuck without a seat.

So, plan ahead, book early and know the best places to be. To find out more on how to make your Alaskan fishing trip a hit, keep reading for tips on what to bring, the best season and where to stay.

Packing List for an Alaskan Float Fishing Trip

Because the temperature can vary radically in Alaska - from a hot noon sun to a freezing cold night - you want clothes that will layer, dry quickly and keep you both warm and protected. Opt for clothing made from quick dry fabric like smart wool or a performance blend and choose pieces that can layer. Ideally, you want long-sleeve shirts and pants that will protect you from both the sun and bugs.

Instead of packing every piece of oversized and heavy fishing gear that you own, call ahead to your lodge or tour company and see what types of equipment will be included in your package. You may still want to pack your favorite lures or gear, but most companies actually provide flies, lures, floats and other fishing supplies.

And last but not least, the best place to spend your money is on solid rain gear. Though Gore-Tex is expensive and breathable, it's actually not fully waterproof and will eventually start to seep after a full day of heavy rain. PVC can be hot and uncomfortable, but its impenetrable. So, whether you choose PVC or Gore-Tex, weigh your options, consider whether you're staying in a lodge or out in the wilderness - and choose accordingly.

When to Go

The peak season for float fishing in Alaska is the summer, so it's between the months of June and September. You'll likely have warm, if not rainy, weather, great fishing and easy pickings on the water. However, the summer is also prime tourism season, which is why it's so important to book ahead.

Great Locales for Fishing

Some of the best places for Alaska angling are

* Bristol Bay, the world's largest salmon fishery which is also home to a wide assortment of other fish
* The Copper River Delta, a fast-moving water rich with trout
* The Kenai River, a place known for its massive king salmon, and
* Kodiak Island, home to great roadside and remote fishing locations

It's hard not to have a successful Alaska float fishing trip, but with a little planning you can make any trip a great one. Just remember to hit the best fishing spots, go at the right time and pack appropriately. Also, always check with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game Sport Fish Division before you book a lodge or charter company. Their website is available at sf.adfg.state.ak.us.

With a little advance preparation, your time on the water will be one of the most enjoyable of your life.

Tennis Racket Help????

hi i play high school varsity tennis, and i'm lookin to replace my 3 yr. old tennis racket. used to hav prince. and i play doubles #2.

These are rackets i'm interested in, i don't know which one i should get, and probably trying to be balenced with power and control and also an oversize racket for the head size (110 sq. in is my max).
Head- Youtek Radical OS
Youtek Pestige OS
Prince- Exo3 Red 105
Exo3 Blue 110
Exo3 graphite 100
Babolat- Drive Z tour
Pure Drive

I feel like it really depends on your playing style, you should demo as many of these racquets as you can and choose the one you like best, or that feels right. Personally I like the pure drive but everybody is different when it comes to racquet preferences.

PEZ-Tech: Sammy's Orbea Orca
On the Tour, many of the teams will have the team vehicles parked ‘wagon train’ style or have ‘crime scene’ tapes to keep the civilians at bay. Not at Euskaltel.
