Table tennis involves plenty of skill, but most people are able to play fairly well when they put in the time and dedication to learn the game. Some people might have an innate ability that makes them faster than some of their opponents, but others might struggle to learn. In time and with plenty of training, you will be able to get better at this fun sport, no matter how hopeless you might think you are right now. These table tennis tips should help you on your way to table tennis greatness.
Tip #1 - Practice Daily
The only way that anyone will be able to improve, no matter what the game or task, is with practice. Do you remember when you were first learning to ride a bicycle? You probably had plenty of falls, bruises, and scrapes, but you kept practicing and learning. It's the same with anything, including table tennis. Fortunately, most people don't do much falling or bleeding in ping pong, so the experience of learning should be painless!
Tip #2 - Choose the Right Paddle
Everyone's hands are different, some larger and some smaller. You need to find a paddle that fits your hand comfortably and that you will be able to use properly. Head down to a local sporting goods store and see what they have to offer. Try out a few of the paddles and see which one you like. While this next bit of advice might not have anything to do with table tennis tips, you might want to check the price of the paddles online too. You might be able to find the paddle that you like cheaper through an online seller.
Tip #3 - Concentrate
Learn to focus your mind and concentrate on the ball, and do not worry about other distractions. Whether you are able to do this naturally or you have to train yourself to do it, you will find that the 'Zen' of focusing on that tiny white ball can help with your mental awareness during the game. When you know where they ball is and how to anticipate your opponent's moves, you are in a much better position to win.
Tip #4 - Instruction
While most people do not have it in their budget to hire a coach, you can always start buying some DVDs that have ping pong tutorials on them. These can help you master new skills in a relatively short amount of time.
TableTennisMaster.com offers a line-up of killer table tennis DVDs. If you're looking for ping pong videos to improve your game, visit TableTennisMaster.com for the best table tennis videos.
Choosing Your Table Tennis Gear
A large number of table tennis equipment retailers will show you different types of essential equipment that you need to play table tennis. In fact, they may even let you choose the paddle or blade that you want and rubber you want to go with him and assemble them for you.
However, the problem is to know by whom or blade rubber to get you to increase your performance when playing table tennis.
The rule in palettes table tennis is that the racket must have a black rubber on one side and a red one on the other. You also need to remember that the ball must be white or orange and ITTA new rules suggest that the official ball should be large 40mm.
When choosing a rubber for your blade, you need to know about the amount of spin rubber can generate. You should also know that different types of coatings will affect the speed of your paddle. You can try to customize the palette with a type of rubber on one side and another type of rubber on the other. Remember that it should be red on one side and black on the other side.
The blade can also vary. Try to remember that you need to know about the weight, speed and the handle shape. For most people, the handle is flared and a large average weight blade is also preferable because it gives you a good speed and good mass. The basic rule is, try to find the heaviest possible that paddle will not affect the speed of your swing.
For handles, the handle is flared by far the most popular. It is used by loopers and all players around. For people who like curling or driving, then the anatomical or conical neck is your number one choice.
The handle is right for people who are good at breaking and is favoured by players table tennis that have a powerful backhand. If you use Chinese and Japanese face, then the handful of Penhold is your choice.
These are the things you need to remember that you can choose the right equipment table tennis. With that, you'll be able to get the right paddle, with the right rubber which can keep your performance at an optimal level. So do not believe the hype best paddles. Go for the one that best suits your performance and how you play.

How many table tennis / ping pong paddles can be done with a sheet of rubber?
I'm wanting to make my first really quality paddle for table tennis, and I'm selecting rubber, but I can't seem to find out if the package contains enough for several paddles, or just one application, because it's moderately pricey. Any help would be appreciated!
Table tennis rubber will be very pricey due to the fact that it is high quality and balanced for a good racket/paddle.so usually it will be for one paddle. Be sure that you do this properly to avoid a unbalanced racket. One suggestion for your new racket/paddle is to buy a new product call speed glue.
Speed glue can let you get more control speed and spin on the ball and is approved for proffesional tourny playing.
Hope I could help
